This post will explain the steps to recover your Epson Adjustment Program password on a Windows PC. Please note that this process will not work for Mac computers. Weighing in at a mere 4 MB, this program is a small bundle of compressed files that can be extracted with the zip application that comes installed on Windows 10 or 8. Once extracted, you can find two files: EPSONADJPROT.EXE and README_EPSONADJPROT.TXT which gives you all of the instructions to use it correctly and thorough explanations as to what each step does. By default, the EPSON Adjustment Program is known as "EPADJ" and can be found in your Start menu under program files. Once you have opened the program, you will be prompted by a window that asks for an "Epson Adjustment Password." Once you've typed it in, you will be asked to check your serial number by typing it in like before. This is to make sure that you are not using this program on a printer other than the one that it was intended for. If these two numbers match up, then your computer will proceed with resetting your password. If they don't match, then the adjustment program will close and nothing else will happen. The next part of the program will require you to remove the printer's network connection. This is due to the fact that the computer is about to perform an initialization of all of its components (both hardware and software). You can connect your printer back to your wireless or wired network once your computer prompts you with the message "printer has been initialized." Keep in mind that even though this program has just finished setting up some things on your computer, it still needs to reset your password. Once you've reconnected your printer, wait for it to prompt you with "enter adjustment password. Then you are finished. Once the program has finished setting up your printer, it will then go on to reset your password. If the numbers match, then it will say "Password saved" and that is that. If they don't match, then it will offer more information on what you need to do to get your password back like "Please check your printer's serial number. Then send the WORD formula to the following address." If you are not familiar with how to use a calculator or word processor, this may be confusing for you unless you were already familiar with how to write programs (which most people aren't). If you're still having trouble, then it is highly suggested that you close the program and contact Epson support for help. After reading this article, if you are still having issues with getting your password back, do not hesitate to contact Epson Support via their online chat or phone line through this link. http://support.epson.com/app/home/selectSupportType_page When attempting to contact the customer service representatives or live chat, be sure that you have already ran through all of the troubleshooting steps above before asking about it with them! They will ask you what printer model, serial number, drivers version and Windows OS version that your computer is running on. eccc085e13
